RSV Vaccinations
Eligibility
Patients aged 75 on or after the 1st September 2024 are eligible for the RSV vaccination. All women who are at least 28 weeks pregnant.
Invites
We are currently recalling all of our 79 & 80 year olds as part of a ‘Catch up programme’ to ensure these patients don’t miss out on their vaccination. We will invite other cohorts in due course.
For pregnant patients, please contact the surgery to be booked for your vaccination.

For health information and advice, or if you need medical help fast when we are closed, call 111 or visit NHS 111.
Anyone in need of urgent mental health support can dial 111 at any time and select the option for mental health crisis. You will be connected to the 111 contact centre where trained staff will provide appropriate support and advice 24 hours a day.

These are primarily aimed at people who work and so if you have difficulty attending in normal hours, please ask for this service.
Please note that these appointments at Towcester Medical Centre are for pre-booked appointments only. There will be no telephone access
Use of AI (Heidi AI)
Heidi AI
Some GPs are currently trialling an AI app with our clinical system, to help us document consultations.
This requires the app to listen to the consultation and transcribe notes, which are then saved to your records. The recording is deleted.
It has been approved by the NHS, and meets the Data Protection Act and GDPR rules. If you do not wish to participate, please let your doctor know when they ask for consent.

Data & Privacy FAQs
What happens to my data at each step of the Heidi process?
- Your conversation is converted to text to create a transcript of what was discussed. This transcription is happening live as you speak, so no recording is ever stored.
- Once the transcript is complete it is de-identified (see more details below).
- The transcript is passed through the AI App where it converts the transcript into an easy to use format for your medical record.
- Your transcript is stored in an encrypted and de-identified manner on Heidi servers until the clinician deletes it permanently.
As stated in Heidi’s privacy policy, your data is not being used to train or improve the AI model.

The surgery works in partnership with local and NHS service providers and groups.
