Most people are fully aware that smoking is bad for you and that if you are a smoker, giving up is the most important thing you can do to improve your short and long term health.
However, quitting smoking is easier said than done. We know that nicotine is highly addictive and we understand that if you’ve been a smoker for a long time it’s a very hard habit to break.
We also know that when it comes to quitting smoking some personalised advice and support can be the key to success.
We offer smoking cessation advice for anyone who has decided to finally give up smoking.
Our health care assistant Sam will help support any of our patients who wish to give up smoking by giving structured and on-going support.
Together you can discuss the health benefits of giving up smoking and work out a plan and a timetable for giving up to suit you.
She can also get the doctor to prescribe nicotine replacement medication to help beat those initial cravings if it’s needed.
She will help monitor improvements in breathing and lung function over time as the effects of smoking begin to diminish and your carbon monoxide levels go down. She will continue to provide support for you as long as you need it.
If you are ready to quit now, come and ask us how. Just give us a call and book in with Sam.
