Talking Therapies

Talking therapies are a good way to improve mental health by talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe, non-judgemental space.

Talking therapies may help you if you have…

  • Difficult feelings, such as low mood, worries or stress
  • Depression (including post-natal depression)
  • Anxiety (including social anxiety, phobias and obsessive compulsive disorders)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Eating disorders (including anorexia and bulimia)
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Personality disorders
  • Are coping with a long-term health condition

Your GP can discuss appropriate talking therapies with you.
