Surgery appointments

Doctors normally hold surgeries from 8.40 – 11.10am and 3.30 – 6.00pm each day. Clinics and other surgeries are offered at other times during the day

We offer ten minute appointments. Our system is computerised and under regular review to improve access. Our intention, in line with the Government's Access policy, is to guarantee you an appointment with a health professional within 48hrs. We offer a mixture of appointments. Some are pre-bookable for those who need to make arrangements to be able to attend surgery. The majority are now ‘book on the day’ appointments, which means that if you phone the surgery early in the day you will be offered an appointment with a doctor later that day.

If your appointment is urgent we will always see you on the same day.

If you believe you need an urgent appointment, it is important that you make that clear to our reception staff.

If you cannot keep a booked appointment please cancel it so that it can be offered to another patient.

We don't insist that you always see the doctor with whom you are registered, but as far as possible we do ask you to maintain continuity by seeing the same doctor, if possible, during an ongoing illness. This helps you and your doctor.
