Repeat medication
Ordering
If you are on long-term medication, a doctor will sanction a monthly repeat prescription which you may order until your next agreed review date.
Requests for repeats can be made in person, or by post or over the telephone.
We ask you to give us two full days notice to process your request. We adhere to the DoH policy of ‘28 day prescribing’ for the majority of items.
Paying for presriptions
Patients on low income, or who suffer from certain long-term conditions do not have to pay for prescriptions. Pre-payment certificates are also available to help reduce the cost for those on multiple medications. Information is available from your pharmacist or from our reception staff.
Collection
Prescriptions may be collected after dispensing from either of the local pharmacies in Towcester by arrangement. The pharmacies also provide a home delivery service for housebound patients. Please ask for details.
